Family

Family is instrumental to my creative life. It is overwhelming, and exhausting- but every day is an adventure and brings with it memories to cherish. 

I grew up in Bethany, not far from where I live now. The farm has been in the family for generations and it has greatly influenced the nature-loving creative person I am today. We grew up reforesting the eroded landscape with our parents. We would catch frogs and fireflies, we foraged in the woods and tended expansive gardens. We cared for the farm animals and grew up with a strong work ethic and confidence that this lifestyle granted.

The thousands of trees we planted now tower over us, the farm is a very different place from when I was little. It is now our refuge from city life, and I hope to foster the same love for nature in my own children.
